We have a continuous 6-ton per hour mixer with the sand-resin system PEP SET - QUANTUM (a phenol-urethane system composed of three ASHLAND components). It has the unique advantages in terms of finishes and dimensional tolerances during the casting process. It’s also the most ecological friendly process because it produces minimal amounts of odor and smoke. This process also has the highest recovery of sand, reaching 90% in this case. Its’ resistance allows us to eliminate the use of molding boxes, thus greatly reducing the volume and weight in the smelting process. This in turn, helps us improve our delivery times of the product to our customers. This PEP SET system is the most modern in the world and Fundicion Ferrosa SRL has set up the most complete sand laboratory in the country. We have a semi-mechanized molding and paint 2 ton LOOP System per shift and a line of manual moldings for pieces of more volume than 5 tons per shift.
